The Polish American Congress (PAC) is a national organization founded in Buffalo in 1944 and presently headquartered in Chicago. It is organized into well over 40 State Divisions and Chapters with the Western New York being one of the three Divisions in New York State. The PAC serves as an “umbrella” organization authorized to represent over 3,000 Polish American organizations, clubs, veterans groups, etc. with a total membership of over one million people.

The PAC represents the fundamental values of Polish Americans and the organized Polish American community: the dignity of labor and the right of Americans to fair compensation for their work; the sanctity of the home and family life; the importance of education in realizing the promise of American life; an abiding sense of patriotism in support of America’s Constitutional system of representative government; commitment to just and compassionate immigration policy in keeping with America’s best traditions; and the respect of our Judeo-Christian heritage as a mainstay for preserving our society.

The PAC takes pride in promoting knowledge and respect for the thousand year heritage of the Polish people; combats words and acts that defile the good name of the Polish people in Europe and the United States or that misrepresent the truth about Poland’s history or culture.
